Billabong Pro Tahiti 2016 – Día 1

Se corrió ayer el primer día del Billabong Pro Tahiti 2016, séptima parada del Dream Tour de la World Surf League en la famosa ola de Chopo, en Teahupoo. Kelly Slater, Adam melling y Sebastien Zietz fueron los mejores del día. El actual lider del ranking Matt Wilkinson no pudo con el wildcard Bruno Santos y tendrá que buscar hoy su pase a la tercera ronda.

Bruno Santos fue una de las sorpresas del día: «Amo Tahiti, no solo Teahupoo. Es mi ola favorita pero aparte de eso me encanta este lugar, la gente y la familia. Tengo mucha confianza por que siempre obtuve mis mejores resultados aca. Cuando venís de los trials es como un calentamiento previo al evento y te hace sentir más seguro. Estoy muy contento y espero llegar lejos».
